Moving to a new home is already a dangerous journey for a family of African wild dogs. But when a pair of lions suddenly appears along the route, the situation can become a fight for survival. This dramatic encounter was filmed near Nkaya Pan, south of Satara in Kruger National Park, where two adult African wild dogs were escorting a litter of about 10 puppies, apparently toward a new den. 🐾 A Dangerous Journey
The young puppies were moving through the wilderness with their parents. The adults repeatedly checked their surroundings, aware that predators could be nearby. The cold, wet conditions made the puppies particularly vocal. The adults were also reportedly concerned about hyenas following the family.
